Megan McCafferty, Flutist
About Me
Megan McCafferty is a flutist and educator based in the northeast. She made her Carnegie Hall Solo-Debut at age 17 as a first
prize winner of the Alexander and Buono International Flute Competition. Since then Megan has graduated from Boston Conservatory and Interlochen Arts Academy. Her past teachers include Sarah Brady, Diana Morgan, Nancy Stagnitta, and Terri Sundberg. Currently Megan is working towards her Masters Degree at Manhattan School of Music studying with Linda Chesis. Her wind quintet, Hydra Winds, is coached by Valerie Coleman. In addition to her studies, Megan works as the Marketing Manager and Sales Coordinator at Flutistry. She is honored to be recognized as
a Haynes Young Artist.
